2023 SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 78 CSE GLOBAL LIMITED 2. BOARD STATEMENT Dear Stakeholders, We are pleased to present CSE Global Limited (the “Company”) and its subsidiaries’ (the “Group”) annual sustainability report for the financial year ended 31 December 2023 (“FY2023”). This report covers all performance data and sustainability practices for our material Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) topics. Global temperatures reached exceptionally high levels in 2023 and a large number of extreme events were recorded, such as heatwaves, floods, droughts and wildfires. These phenomena underscore the importance for companies such as CSE to focus on our climate action and accelerate positive change. We continue to place a strong focus on and consider sustainability issues at a core of our corporate strategy as it is our belief that building a sustainable business is vital to our continued success. The Board oversees the management and monitors corporate governance, operational and material sustainability matters relating to our business. We strive to achieve this by delivering positive ESG outcomes to our stakeholders and achieving long-term economic value. During the year, we advanced our ESG efforts and made strides toward making our business more sustainable, beginning with the enhancement of our climate disclosures. We also deepened our capabilities on sustainability reporting this year and are in our second year of reporting with the Task Force for Climate-related Disclosures (“TCFD”) framework. We are in the process of developing our Scope 3 carbon inventory and collecting the data to be reported in the next year. We continue to track our energy usage within our operations to ensure the efficient use of environmental resources. We remain steadfast in exploring new innovative solutions to protect our environment. We remain guided by the principles laid out in our Corporate Sustainability Policy and Environmental Policy as we continue to advance our sustainability efforts and work towards building a sustainable business. We believe that it is our responsibility to ensure sustainable practices are embedded throughout our supply chain. With global calls for climate action, we are determined to continue to push new boundaries in areas of ESG and work closely with stakeholders to build a more sustainable and resilient future.
